PREGNANCY & BIRTH
This is an exciting time. There’s a lot to think about and lots to plan too! As your obstetrician, I’m here to make the process as relaxed and rewarding as possible. From your initial appointment at approximately 8 weeks, we will meet regularly to check your progress and discuss your options and preferences for your pregnancy and delivery.
My areas of expertise include:
- Both high and low risk pregnancies
- Pregnancy after previous caesarean section
- Managing medical conditions during pregnancy such as diabetes or high blood pressure
As a Sydney based obstetrician, I work out of three private hospitals: The Mater Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital and Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Randwick, giving you the choice of some of the most well-regarded hospitals in Sydney.

PLANNING A PREGNANCY CHECKLIST
If you’re planning a pregnancy, this 18-point checklist will help you and your partner put great foundations in place. Helping you relieve some of the stress and overwhelm during your pregnancy.

What to expect in your appointment
Feel free to contact me whenever you first suspect you’re pregnant or want to discuss starting to plan your pregnancy.
As a Sydney obstetrician with rooms in two locations, we’ll first determine the clinic which is most convenient for you.
Once you confirm you’re pregnant, your first visit will usually be 8-10 weeks. This will be an opportunity to talk about your hopes and preferences for managing your pregnancy, more about what you can expect in the coming months as well as a discussion of your medical history and any initial scans or test results you have. There’s also plenty of time to answer your questions and discuss delivery of baby and your expectations for birth.
We will then meet every 4 weeks until 28 weeks for routine antenatal assessments and review of any routine tests or scans you may have along the way.
After 28 weeks we will be more frequently as your birth draws closer with fortnightly appointments until 36 weeks and then weekly appointments until delivery.
