MEET DR KIEREN WILSON

Hello and welcome. Here you’ll find information about me, my experience, training and values, and how I can support you.

I’m Kieren (Dr Kieren Wilson if you prefer the long version!). I’m an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based on Sydney’s beautiful North Shore. And I practice at 3 major private hospitals in Sydney: The Mater, North Shore Private and Prince of Wales Private Hospital.

I’m committed to supporting women’s health and in particular advocate for choice, empowerment, availability of the latest clinical practices and support for women’s mental as well as physical well being.

MY TRAINING

As a Sydney local, I completed my medical studies here before embarking on my general medical training at the Royal Prince Alfred hospital in Sydney’s Inner West.

I also undertook further study of obstetrics and gynaecology completing a Master’s degrees in both Reproductive Medicine and Women’s Health.

After graduating, I completed my speciality obstetric and gynaecological training at The Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

My desire to deepen my experience and the level of expertise and care I could offer women, took me overseas.

I spent time working in NHS system in London at the internationally renowned St. Thomas’ Hospital and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London.

There I gained valuable exposure to high-risk obstetrics, low-risk obstetrics, managing medical conditions in pregnancy and ultrasound. I was also awarded a certificate of Advanced Labour Ward Practice during my time in the UK.

FELLOWSHIP

As a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, I have been appointed to the Board of Examiners. I’m actively involved in medical education as both an examiner and a medical school entrance interviewer.

I offer support for the whole pregnancy journey, from pre-conception advice, during your pregnancy through to birth and postpartum care.

I provide medical care for issues arising from any benign complaints related to the female reproductive tract including infertility, endometriosis, pelvic floor dysfunction and abnormal PAP smear results.

Feel free to bring your partner or other support person and of course any children you already have are very welcome too.

Having worked in some of Sydney and the UK’s most well-known and innovative hospitals. I’m also a medical school examiner and entrance interviewer and as such, see it as essential to remain at the forefront of medical practice in my field to offer the best possible level of care.
